Orthopedic surgeon, Dr Mark Wood, and his team at Southlake have been renovating the facility in the past few years to provide better care and access to the patient’s spine.
Dr Wood is also a part-time employee of the Orthopedical and Rehabilitation Society of Greater Los Angeles, and is part of the team that has rebuilt the hospital over the past several years, including the reconstruction of its orthopaedic clinic.
When I visited the new Southlake Clinic in 2018, it was still in the same building and there was still the same equipment and the same staff working there.
It was just that we had a new building that was much more modern and we were able to get our staff up to speed faster.
The team had been working in a different building, but the staff at Southgate Orthopedia was still there.
We did have to take a few steps to get the new orthopedist up to scratch and I think that was really good, but there was a lot of time spent over the last two to three years just figuring out how to get them to the point where they could be able to start doing that.
It’s been a really positive experience for them and I really hope they’re able to do a lot more.
They’ve also started getting a lot better with the equipment and we are also seeing that more patients are being seen in their new office.
I was in the office last night and there were about eight patients in the orthopedically assisted room, which is really nice.
You’re able as soon as you walk in, there’s a door in the back of the room.
The first patients to come in were in the morning and they were in great spirits and excited to get back in their chairs.
I saw a lot less patients in that room during the evening, but we did see a lot fewer patients than in the other rooms in the building.
I’ve seen a lot nicer people over the years.
What is it like to be the patient in the room that you’re trying to treat?
I have never seen that before.
The nurses are great and I’m so excited to be able treat patients there.
There’s a real connection that’s there and I am really happy to be working there again.
It’s a really good place to work, so it’s really a great place to be and it’s a good time to be back in the community.
There’s still a lot to do, but I’m very excited to see what we can do.
Southlake Orthopaedics is the only orthopedical surgery clinic in Los Angeles that is a full service facility.
