WASHINGTON — The United States will play its first international match in Rio de Janeiro next month.
The Americans and Brazil played to a 1-1 draw on July 7, but the US has not played a friendly since a 1,200-mile flight from Denver in January 2018.
The team will fly back to Los Angeles on Aug. 10 and play the first game in Rio on Aug, 25.
The match will be the third of six matches for the U.S. and Brazil in 2019.
They have played 10 international matches and lost two.
